Spring Term
Emerald Class - Spring Update
Another busy term with our ‘Endangered Ocean’ topic. We started the term with a shock when we found a whale in the pond with quite a lot of litter.
This lead to us writing persuasive letters and creating posters and adverts to convince others to save the whales and care for the oceans.
Our topic about the ocean included researching how animals have adapted to survive in each layer. Here is our display of each ocean layer, its depth and conditions and some of the animals that live there.
Emerald class have been looking closely at plants to see how they are made to pollinate, germinate and disperse seeds so that new plants can grow and the cycle can continue.
Spelling has been a big focus across the school this term. We have been trying out a range of spelling games to improve the range of our vocabulary. Here is one winning team’s work.
